Story
Hi, I have just recently lost the bestest mum in the world to ovarian cancer. I wanted to do something special in her memory and make a difference by helping a charity that helps so many people and their families that are affected with this horrible disease and other terminally ill people.
I wanted to make a difference and help such a worthwhile charity, so after a great deal of thought I decided to take part in Walk Ten, which is a yearly event hosted all over the country on behalf of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Marie Curie offer an unbelievable service that provides support and care to terminally ill patients and their families. The Marie Curie Cancer Care help and guide people to understand the illness and come to terms with it.
To provide this worthwhile care it costs £8,800 a day to run a hospice and without this care patients can not get the much needed support and comfort they deserve. Just £20 provides 1 hours care for a terminally ill patient.
In total, Marie Curie spend over £93 million a year on its charitable activities of providing care as well as on research and development. So you can understand how much donations are needed.
Thank you very much for your support to this fantastic cause. Your donation truly means so much to both myself personally and, of cause, to Marie Curie Cancer Care. Every single penny is appreciated and Marie Curie relies entirely on charitable fundraising and the support of the public and volunteers to be able to do their work, so dig deep and support my efforts in this great charity.
You can also now donate to my fundraising page using JustTextGiving. Just text CWEW47 to 70070 followed by the amount you wish to donate, e.g to sponsor me £5, text CWEW47 £5 to 70070.
