Me and my good running buddy, Tony are running the Manchester Marathon 2023. It will be my 1st ever full marathon! So I have a big challenge ahead,15 weeks of training has commenced which will take us up until race day on April 16th.

I am doing this in memory of my dear friend, Emma Shudell, taken too soon after her 5  ½ year battle with a brain tumour. The Brainstrust supported Emma throughout her illness and we want raise some funds for this fantastic charity in her memory. Running a marathon is a perfect way for me to remember her as she always spoke about her own journey of running the London Marathon with such pride and charisma.
