I am supporting SPARKS charity.
Every day 70 babies are born in the UK with a life-threatening condition or an illness that will affect them and their families for life. Sparks aims to reduce this statistic so that all children have the chance to live a healthy, active life.
Sparks have raised millions of pounds to fund vital research that is helping thousands of children around the world. They have paid for projects that have led to major medical breaththroughs in the understanding of the childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma, they have funded pioneering research into baby cooling techniques that will help reduce long-term brain damage due to lack of oxygen at birth and helped researchers increase our understanding of the genes that cause spina bifida.
So, I finished the 3 peaks challenge. Started at 9am on Saturday 17th July and finishing 8:53:20 on the 18th. This was a major challenge, having to climb the 3 highest peaks in the home nations in horrible weather conditions! Snowdon was like a waterfall, Got very wet on BenNevis! Climbing down Scafell pike in the dark was really tuff! 3000 vertical meters in all!
