Story
Earlier this year, our beloved Dad Hugo received the diagnosis we have always dreaded - an aggressive tumour had appeared in his lungs.
After his loving care for Mum over many years, this news was so hard to hear.
But in the midst of the shock was the immediate professionalism and knowledge of the Macmillan team that were allocated to our family.
So many friends and family have wanted to help since they heard that Dad has cancer for a second time.
He is a much loved, and lovable, member of his local and wider community.
He has always been the person that helps anyone in need whether friends, family, neighbours or total strangers. And we want to help him give back in his time of need.
Macmillan is an organization that relies entirely on fundraising, but their support for families dealing with a cancer diagnosis is incredible, and essential.
So Shaun and I will be lacing up our running shoes and taking part in a 10k dedicated to Macmillan in order that other families can access the same support on their cancer journeys.
If you have anything at all to donate to our run in the name of our wonderful Dad, Hugo, we would appreciate it immensely. Large or small, every penny will count to help McMillan, and every step we take will be worth it.
Thank you all so much.
