One person can make a difference, having two or more makes even bigger difference.
As a mom, I always want the best for my kids. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to realise their potential. Yet, globally there are more than 200 million young people are out of work or live in low income poverty.
It took me some courage to join Home Run as I am really a slow runner, but i love the simplicity of running, the steady and familiar rhythm that feels like an old friend. I have never been fast as I got older, i am slower still. But I believe that slow miles are better than no miles. I decided to join Home Run because it impacts and supports disadvantaged young people with visual impairment, to learn new skills and improve their chance of getting a job.
Please join me change lives, and donate here. I look forward to your donations in making the Home Run event a great success. This is just a small part we can help in raising money for the needy. Thank you in advance for your kind donation!
The Standard Chartered Foundation focuses on tackling inequality. It promotes greater economic inclusion for disadvantaged young people from low-income households, particularly girls, women and people with visual impairments, providing opportunities to make a better future for themselves and their families. We are the lead delivery partner for Futuremakers by Standard Chartered and fund programmes in the areas of education, employability, entrepreneurship and eye health.
Kind Regards
Elaine Lee
