I want to make it matter and one of the ways I am doing this is by joining a team to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, from 7-16 October 2011 to raise funds for Mercy Ministries UK.

Mercy Ministries UK is a national charity dedicated to providing a free-of-charge, 6-month residential Christian discipleship programme for young women suffering from life controlling issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, depression and the effects of abuse in all its forms www.mercyministries.co.uk.

It costs just under £1000 a day to run the programme to provide its 13 residents with accommodation, food, utility expenses, one-to-one support, 24 hour care, books, CDs and all other teaching and training resources to help them overcome their issues.

So please give generously to this work which is so desperately needed in our society today by sponsoring me to climb that mountain!
