We are cycling from Glasgow to Edinburgh through Pedal For Scotland on the 13th Sept to raise money for Friends of the Beatson. Some of you may already know that Elaine is the hairdresser in the centre. It is an amazing place to work and runs soley with charitable donations and fundraising. Although the centre is housed within the Beatson, it is not run or funded by the NHS. The centre is however invaluable to in patients. It offers a variety of therapies including,  hairdressing, reiki, massage, relaxation, chiropody, hypnotherapy, facials and manicures, not forgetting the tea and talk, everything is free of charge........All of the therapies are available to women and men. The centre gives the patient an alternative to the ward...It allows patients room to breathe and be themselves. To work there is an honour and privilige and so we would like to be able to give something back..Please visit the website where you will be able to read about the good work being done there and get an idea of the type of place it is.
