We provide practical and emotional support to bereaved families at their time of need

Story

On Friday 17th November, I will be trading in my annual wine abstinence challenge (more here and pictured above) for something of the more physical variety as I tackle a sponsored swimathon at the Village Gym in Ashton.

For the challenge, I will be attempting to complete 50 lengths of the 25 metre pool (1,250 metres in total!) with the aim of raising money to help the families supported by local bereavement charity, Once Upon A Smile.

Once Upon A Smile provide emotional, practical and financial support to bereaved families in the North West. Every penny that is donated to Elaine’s swimathon will go towards helping these to make Christmas this year special for these families, in what can be a particularly difficult time.

If you can donate, even any amount, it is hugely appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
