Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 1st December 2013 we lost our precious granddaughter Chloe Alice to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. It was heartbreaking. We had been looking forward to Christmas and suddenly she was gone.
Chloe had not long started giggling and was always full of smiles. She had two loving parents and a big brother, who was as excited as any toddler could of been, to have a baby sister. They had always wanted a boy and a girl so were delighted when Chloe was born. Their family was complete.
On 30th November they bathed Chloe and put her to bed. Chloe woke up for a night feed and was fed around 3am. When they woke up at 6:45 she had passed away. It happens that quickly! She had shown no signs of illness and the tests that have been done since her death show nothing. They had taken all the necessary precautions as advised by their midwife and health visitor. There has been no reason found to explain why Chloe passed away.
There are over 300 babies and toddlers that still die every year of SIDS in the UK. The Lullaby Trust is working with the NHS to promote safer baby sleep as well as offering specialist support for bereaved families. They are also committed to supporting research to understand why babies die suddenly and unexpectedly and to find out more about how to prevent these tragic deaths.
This is why I am raising money for The Lullaby Trust. If I can prevent another family having to go through this Chloe would not have died in vain.
If you are a parent, grandparent or a parent to be, please take the time to visit The Lullaby Trust website and read their advice on how to keep your baby or toddler safe.
Thank you so much for your support :-)
