Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Kilbryde hospice has always been held as a special place to all at EKYC because of the fantastic work carried out at the facility, our club feel very privileged to have been in a position over the past few years to support the hospice through a number of our fundraising events, the connection between EKYC and the hospice dates back a few years when we sadly lost one of our much loved football coaches, Susan Costello.

We decided we wanted to mark Susan’s memory by laying a memorial stone within the grounds of the hospice, since then we have had a heartfelt connection with the hospice. It is also pertinent to our club due to the numbers involved in EKYC, we have over 300 players and coaches mainly residing in EK and with 60% of patients cared for in the hospice from East Kilbride a direct bond has been forged with within EKYC.
