Snowdon Saunter

Snowdon Moonlight Hike 2017 · 5 August 2017 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After years of marching aimlessly up 'My Hill' in Nunburnholme, (and boring my Facebook Friends with endless pictures of it every week) I decided on a change of scenery. So on 5 August, My daughter's 10th birthday, I will be setting off, at Midnight, to march up the mother of all hills, in Wales. And while I'm at it, the aim is to raise at least £350 for Macmillan Cancer Care: A charity that does so much more than you might realise for people suffering from cancer, and their families.
I've attended waaay too many funerals in the past decade, but the thought that some of those good lost friends benefited from the type of care and support that Macmillan provides, is reassuring.
The indignities and horrors that accompany this nasty disease are difficult to imagine, but I have chosen a profile picture showing the indignities of me hauling my lardy, middle-aged ass up a steep hill, which I hope will make you laugh. I feel lucky to be alive.
