I have chosen to raise money for The British Heart Foundation. This is particularly personal to me as I was born with a moderate heart condition and have been lucky enough to have received fantastic care and treatment for my condition. I feel privileged to be in a position to run the half marathon and donate to a charity which make such a difference to many peoples' lives.

 

This charity supports individuals with heart disease. Heart disease includes all types of heart problems and is a leading cause of death. The money they raise goes towards numerous research projects to improve the prevention, treatment and management of all heart problems and to reduce the prevalence of premature death from heart disease.
