Story
Working as an Occupational Therapist I have worked with many patients who’s lives have been saved and impacted by the Great North Air ambulance service.
I hope that myself and my loved ones never need to use this service, however I am passionate in supporting this charity, as I have comfort in knowing, it will be there if we ever do need it.
After all we don’t know what the future holds - tomorrow is promised to no one, life and good health is a luxury denied to many.
I am amazed at the work the great north air ambulance do, and want to contribute in any way I can to support this fantastic charity. Therefore I am running the Great North run on the 12th of September 2021.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to 1,640 call outs last year* alone, via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
Even the smallest donation means so much to me and will encourage me to keep pushing mile after mile. Thank you 💓
