Eilidh-Rose volunteering in Ghana

Eilidh's Ceilidh! · 21 February 2015
Hi friends, family and anyone just popping by....
Soon I will be swapping the comforts of home and familiarity of my work here and heading to Ghana in West Africa as part of International Service's global mission for equality and justice. This is a real opportunity for me to help make a real difference in one of the world's most marginalised communities.
I will be travelling out to Ghana on the 30th of March this year for 3 months. I will be working alongside other young British volunteers and also with Ghanaian (in country) volunteers. I will be working in the field of child poverty, giving me a fantastic opportunity to both share and gain skills during this invaluable experience.
My challenge starts long before my flight leaves, I have a fundraising target of £1,500 to reach before I leave. I am organising ' Eilidh's Ceilidh' in February, delivering pots of homemade soup to local people throughout February and am planning a personal challenge 'living below the line' which I will post about on here and keep everybody updated!
Donating through Just Giving is really quick, easy and completely safe. If you are lucky enough to be a taxpayer, any contribution you make goes even further.
If you can spare just a few pounds towards my appeal, it would be massively appreciated.
