Story
Eileen was diagnosed with probable uterine sarcoma at the end of October 2017. Despite surgery and three weeks in hospital, she passed away four weeks later on the 28th November 2017. She had her family around her the entire time, and thankfully was able to spend a week in her home with them before she died. The cancer turned out to be epithelioid leiomyosarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form arising from benign fibroids, which had sadly already metastasised elsewhere in her body before surgery. She was a vivacious, passionate woman who truly lived life to the full, and took no time for granted. She loved her family to bits, and they loved her just as much, and will miss her dearly.
