Story
In 2008 I signed up to a local 5k race raising money for the new children’s hospital that was being built in Oxford. A few months later I received a golden bond place to run in the iconic London marathon. I had officially caught the running bug!
Since then I’ve seen the fantastic work Children With Cancer provides. I’ve helped raise awareness of the charity, donated to fund research, and provided support to parents that have children going through cancer treatment.
Since 2008 I’ve ran every London marathon, cycled from London to Paris, abseiled off hospital roofs, ran 100 mile races.
Since loosing my Mum RIP to Oesophageal cancer in 2018 I’m even more committed to helping cancer charities.
For 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has funded much needed research into the causes of childhood cancers, and the development of better, kinder treatments.
Their work has contributed significantly to a marked increase in childhood cancer survival rates, as well as improved quality of life for patients. Since 1988, they have increased awareness and understanding of childhood cancers within the scientific community and among the general public.
They provide funding for initiatives that support children and their families through cancer treatment and beyond. Their mission is to ensure that children and young people with cancer have the best chance of survival by pioneering research, empowering their families and giving them hope for tomorrow.
Thank you
