On the 3rd March 2013 I will be taking part in the Bath Half Marathon, this is going to be my first one.

This is going to be a big personal challenge for me as my fitness levels are currently classed as inactive.

My motivation for this is the loss of my Mum.  Mum had been suffering with Vascular Dementia for the last five years and at the beginning of this year deteriated considerably and on the 25th February 2012 she very sadly passed away.

So I would really like your support in raising as much money as we can For Alzheimers Society.  Dementia affects 1 in 3 of over 65's and is a leading cause of death in over 65's. 

I have started some very basic training and will continue to push myself and to improve to enable me to do this to the best of my ability.
