Robs Run

So here we go again : ) Our wee fundraiser for 2015

It is just over 2 years now since Rob was taken from us under such tragic circumstances. An  every day rugby injury of a snapped Achilles, subsequent thrombosis and ultimately a fatal pulmonary embolism led to Rob's devastating death and the disbelief that my beautiful man of just 42 years of age could no longer be with us.

We as a family along with some great friends have embarked on fundraising in memory of Rob to try and raise awareness of the silent killer Thrombosis. We have participated in the Balmoral 5km, 10km and half marathon. We have had a fundraising ceilidh which The New Distillery band very kindly donated their time free of charge enabling us to donate even more to the charity. The support from everyone has been nothing short of phenomenal and I along with Carly, Jodie, Hollie and Reece would like to thank you all for that xxx

This year Debbie, Hannah, Gareth, Kerry, Rachel, Norman, Michael and I will participate in the Illuminator Half Marathon to raise money for The Thrombosis Charity in memory of my beautiful angel Rob xxx.

This is a 15 mile run over rough terrain and all the boys and girls are putting in a phenomenal amount of training including  running, biking, swimming and spinning in preparation for this toughie!
