Story
To celebrate 50 years of Evans Jones and to raise money for the fantastic Great Western Air Ambulance Charity(GWAAC) I'm cycling 300miles from Cheltenham to Bruges in 3 days. This is a team effort with David my co-director and 6 other intrepid cyclists joining us.
Back in 2011, we rode 200miles from Cheltenham to Paris - and now, 11 years on, we thought we'd go one day and another 100miles more.
Setting off from our HQ in Cheltenham, we'll cycle 300miles in just 3 days, culminating in the beautiful city of Bruges.
The air ambulance really can make the difference between life and death when the worst happens so we (and more importantly) GWAAC need your support to keep the air ambulance going, and keep saving lives.
So, if you can dig deep and help support us for this fantastic cause - I'd be really grateful.
Thank You
Ian
About GWAAC
I was really suprised to hear that GWAC is 100% funded by donations. Although part of the regional 999 response service and working closely with NHS hospitals, they are a charity entirely funded by local people just like you.
GWAAC saves lives across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, North Somerset and parts of Wiltshire. They provide emergency care to people who are in a state so critical that they require the specialist skills of the GWAAC team at the scene of the accident or medical incident.
