Doddie Weir is many things to many people.

To me, he was a hero, a mentor and a mate. Doddie created opportunities for me that I took with confidence, knowing he believed in me. 

I got to share a stage with him in front of amazing audiences, who ate from the palm of his enormous paws. I loved it. But I also got to share the quieter moments too, and they meant a lot. He inspired. 

MND is a horrendous thing and I want to help raise awareness for those living with it and their families. I want to raise money to finds treatments and ultimately a cure.

A marathon, a bike ride... I'm no Kevin Sinfield, but I'll do my best. Any support or pennies is hugely appreciated. My wonderful wife, Nichola, will be dragging me round the 26.2miles! THANK YOU
