‘Whitby Wild Swimmers’ we did it! A fabulously festive winter dip with five gold hoops, a gold jumpsuit and various pieces of festive head gear.
I successfully did my first sponsored winter dip on Thursday- it was VERY cold but sunny. I have been touched and overwhelmed by your support, THANK YOU. As a second part to this winter swimming challenge Kate MccGwire asked if I could organise one of the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’. With the help of Whitby Wild Swimmers we took a sea dip this morning (Saturday 19th December) as ‘five gold rings’. Swimming groups around the country will do a day each.
Hopefully we can help raise much needed funds for the homeless charity St. Mungos. When I go for a swim at Whitby I walk past the bags and folded blankets of a homeless person who sleeps outside the Pavillion. By small acts we can all help make this situation better for people.
