Story
Honest, kind, loving, always there to help others, considerate , joyful and full of ambition. These are the traits, principals and values this young man lived by and practiced day to day. Azaan Kaleem was by far an average young man. Many would say he lit up a room as soon as he walked in, with his joyful personality and witty humour.
Azaan had many years ahead of him, many stages of life yet to face and hurdles to jump. Sadly Azaans life was sadly cut short by people who were unfortunate and misguided, he was fatally stabbed in the heart, having just been to a funeral of a family member. On his way home, walking back with his fiancé.
Police and Paramedics were called and attended. Concerned members of the public performed CPR whilst help was en-route the police and ambulance service resuscitated Azaan and did the best they could until he was placed in hospital under the care of the Intensive Care Unit at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital.
The team at ICU tried their best to stabilise Azaan for another three days and the family are forever grateful to them for allowing them to have those last few days with him. Despite the departments extended efforts in stabilising Azaan, and Azaan fighting for his life it was clear from test results that the caregivers were fighting a losing battle and later that evening it was decided Azaans treatment be withdrawn and sadly Azaan passed on the 24.03.2018
No conversational words of gratitude can be expressed to the Hospital, the trauma unit and the staff for their hard work and personal involvement in the care and compassion given to both Azaan and his family. It is with this, we have decided to set up this page to raise funds for the department in continuing their hard work and enabling the hospital in accommodating other family members who would be unfortunate enough to experience similar calamities and to make that experience just that little bit stressless. We would be grateful for any donation made and thank you all in advance for your time in reading this.
