More than 8 million people are on the brink of famine in Afghanistan as drought, conflict and the Covid-19 pandemic cause a catastrophic rise in hunger. Children are dying today, and a million more under the age of five are at risk of dying over the next three months. We need to act now to save lives.That's why I'm fundraising to help DEC charities and their local partners to provide emergency food and nutrition support for children, support healthcare facilities and provide winter kits to help displaced families stay warm. Other priorities include supplying clean drinking water and protecting women and girls.

Poets and Musicians from England and Afghanistan performed at an online open mic on Thursday 30th December 2021 from 8pm to 10pm and raised more than  £700 for this worthy cause. This virtual open mic was also recorded and can be viewed on YouTube here:
