Story
We sadly lost our Dad to cancer in October 2022. Towards the end of his life, he was receiving care under "Hospice at Home" every day from the nurses at Farleigh Hospice. We have felt inspired by their comfort, humour, enthusiasm and selflessness - they have been a great source of support for us, our family and most importantly our Dad. We are running the London Marathon in April 2023, so that we can give a bit back to Farleigh and raise awareness of the great work their nurses do.
Please see below some further information about Farleigh Hospice:
Farleigh Hospice is a registered charity (no. 284670) which provides hospice care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across mid Essex. They help patients to live as actively as possible from the point of diagnosis to the end of their life, by providing physical and emotional care, free of charge. With approximately 40% of their yearly running costs being funded by the local NHS, they rely on the support and goodwill of the local mid Essex community to contribute to the £16,500 it costs to provide their services each day.
