Story
Edward died recently from the effects of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He achieved much in his life - a degree in politics and international relations, followed by a masters and PhD at Southampton University. Subsequently he had a book (based on his thesis) published in 2020 (see link for more info: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Strategic-Culture-Violent-Non-State-Actors-ebook/dp/B08BW6PL53/). He was recently made an honorary visiting fellow at Southampton and he was looking forward to to furthering his research and studies.
Edward had a wide range of other interests, including learning Arabic, playing computer games, listening to music and being by the sea and in the outdoors; all of which he continued to do until the final week of his life. He also enjoyed spending time with family and a wide circle of friends. His determination to succeed against the odds inspired many, and he will be remembered fondly for his many achievements, his sense of humour and positive outlook.
