Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Team Rubicon UK is a disaster relief charity, staffed predominately by military veterans. Brought to the UK in 2015, they retrain military veterans, re-purposing their skills and deploying to maximum effect in support of communities suffering in the immediate aftermath of disasters, both domestically and across the globe.

In recent years, the charity have been first on the scene in Tenzing, Nepal, following the 2015 earthquake, Kiryandongo, Uganda to provide support in the wake of civil war, and most recently in Palau, Indonesia to deal with the consequences of the 2018 tsunami. By deploying small, self-sufficient and resourceful teams, Team Rubicon are able to react faster and reach more remote locations than other NGOs. Often deploying on foot, with critical medical and infrastructure supplies, they provide lifesaving support when it is needed most. For more information on their work, please visit:

In July this year, I will be running the 250km Gobi March ultra-marathon in Mongolia. From the Okrhon Valley to the city of Karakorum, the race winds it's way through some of the most diverse and sparsely populated terrain on the planet. It is a self supported footrace run over six stages, culminating with the 69km single stage "Long March".

I am aiming to raise £2,000 for TRUK. Any donation you are able to make is very much appreciated.
