Story
As a brother to 8 younger siblings, including one who suffers low eyesight due to down syndrome, I can not express the importance of education for our youth and future generations, especially those suffering from a disability. Fortunately, we were born and raised in Australia, we have the support to get by. However earlier this year I went on a trip with ‘Human Appeal International’, an organisation who strives for the betterment of those less fortunate, and then, I realised the harsh reality of those who are suffering.
Blindness is a disability that takes perhaps the most precious of human senses, sight. According to the World Health Organisation there are over 39 million blind people in the world. In the city of Irbid, north of Jordan; there is no single facility that caters to the needs and education of the blind. Ive partnered up with Human Appeal Australia to help raise funds to build a school that will cater for 1000 blind children in the region. Together lets Give the Gift of Vision.
