Story
The month of May is very important to all EDS zebras as it’s the awareness month for the connective tissue disorder Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and our Dazzle Walk is a way to raise even more public awareness. That’s why members of my EDS UK Facebook Support group and I are participating in the EDS UK Dazzle Walk 2022 to raise money for The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK to help the Charity and it’s volunteers to continue their work in helping so many individuals and families living with EDS each and every day.
Last year we were unable to meet up and invite people to join us on our walk, but not this year, we can now all meet up and all dazzle together in our razzliest, dazzliest zebra outfits whilst probably getting a few second glances walking around Pugneys Country Park or if you’d like to do your own walk as well just sign up at http://dazzlewalk.ehlers-danlos.org/
Why am I getting involved? ….I have Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos (hEDS) as do my two daughters so I know only too well the struggles, hurdles and difficulties all EDS zebras have living to the the best of their abilities with this life long debilitating condition. Being part of our amazing support group helps individuals in so many ways to feel less isolated, understood and to be believed and this is one of the reasons I became a Volunteer Area Coordinator for the Charity four years ago, wanting to make a difference to individuals on their journey with a diagnosis of EDS and beyond, my role means so very much to me and keeps me distracted from my constant pain and I do all I can each and every day to keep our support group positive and a safe place for my members.
Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with them and they’ll never sell them on or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate they’ll send your money direct to the Charity so it’s the most efficient way to donate saving time and cutting costs Charity.
Thank you for your time & support helping EDS UK in anyway you can.
