We support Royal Papworth Hospital to enhance patient care and treatment

Story

2 months ago, our best friend Ed was rushed to hospital overnight and was diagnosed with myocarditis. After a few weeks with little progress he was diagnosed with heart failure and was moved to Royal Papworth Hospital where he was later told that he was going to need a heart transplant. After a few weeks later on Sunday 9th January he was given the news that he was going to be going into theatre to have the surgery done. The amount of pain physically and mentally that he has been through over these two months is something that cannot be compared to. To show our support to him Ollie, Arjun, Will, Tom, Nelson and Adam have decided to do a 250k cycle from Bristol's BRI to Ed at the hospital in Papworth. We are doing the cycle in support of the Royale Papworth charity but most importantly for our best friend Ed. Any donations would be massively appreciated.

Royal Papworth Charity exists to support the ground-breaking work of Royal Papworth Hospital. With increasing pressures on the NHS, the Charity plays a vital role in ensuring that the Hospital continues to provide the highest standards of care by investing in staff development, improving the Hospital environment for patients and supporting research into new ways of treating heart and lung disease. This charity has helped Ed massively and the least we could do is a fundraiser for this amazing cause.
