Ed's Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
As many of you know Dad passed away on 5th September 2024 after a short battle with lymphoma. My brother and I lost our dad who was our absolute hero, but mum also lost her husband, my nephew lost his grandad, our partners lost their future father in law and a vastly huge number of people lost a truly brilliant friend.
He and us a family were supported by Macmillan during his time in hospital and after Dad had passed away. So I want to give something back to them so they can support more people in the amazing way that they supported us.
In July 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer. Myself and Ads a close friend from work who sadly lost his mum Dawn at the same time as I lost Dad, will be doing this together. The location is even more pertinent to me as I will be hiking around an area that was a favourite of Dad's and holds a lot of memories of great times spent together.
I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £2000 target. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
