We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

This October I will be running the London Marathon as part of TEAM RICK.

My Dad's best friend and close family friend, Rick Morel, was fighting Bowel & Liver cancer for several years, and was always so strong and positive, inspiring everyone around him during his illness. Unfortunately, Rick passed away in July 2021 after an incredibly hard fought battle with cancer.

In April 2019, I was watching the marathon with Rick, and having seen the impact this challenge has on a number of meaningful causes, I was determined to take part. Thanks to Rick, I'm now part of his team of runners who are all raising money for Bowel Cancer UK.

Bowel Cancer is the fourth most common cancer, the second biggest cancer killer. A disease that has also affected my family.

The next few months are going to be full of hard work and grit to prepare for the marathon.

I would be hugely grateful for any donations to help with the brilliant work Bowel Cancer UK are doing. I will be personally thanking (and getting a round in) for anyone who can support!

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Your support will help improve the survival of people with bowel cancer by funding lifesaving research and amazing support services.
