I am aiming to raise £1,000 to help Street Child United campaign for the rights and protection of street children around the world ahead of the next Cricket World Cup in India.
Having watched how Street Child United have helped street kids from all over the world build the strength to face the stigma and discrimination that comes their way, I felt it was time to lend a hand. Or rather - in 2023, and the run up to it - it will be! Hopefully I can do my little bit to help the street kids playing at the Cricket World Cup to reach their full potential and ensure they, and other kids like them get the respect and protection they deserve and require.

The UN estimates there are up to 150 million street children for a multitude of reasons from death of family members, to illness or disability. All of them are extremely vulnerable and at risk of exploitation and abuse unless they can be supported out of poverty. It's not a problem that will go away unless we do something about it and I hope the Street Child Cricket World Cup in India in 2023 can play a small part in that, offering hope and giving the children a voice.
