<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page where I am running the&nbsp;10 miles run&nbsp;in Portsmouth in October trying to raise money for the TSA&nbsp;patient support group to aid awareness into&nbsp;Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, or TSC.</p> <p>The Tuberous Sclerosis Association, or TSA do a fantastic job to raise awareness of this rare condition and drive research as well as improving the care of people with TSC. Please visit them here to learn a little more: <a href="http://www.tuberous-sclerosis.org/">http://www.tuberous-sclerosis.org/</a></p> <p>This year&nbsp;I have been employed by a major pharmaceutical company as the UK National Business Manager and commercial lead for the TSC indication&nbsp;and over this time I have learned more and more about this potentially debilitating condition affecting far too many families and carers.</p> <p>Tuberous Sclerosis is a rare genetic disorder affecting around 1 in 10,000 people in the UK and mutations in the TSC1 or TSC2 genes can affect people very differently but can lead to non-malignant tumours growing almost anywhere such as many major organs in the the body from the brain, heart, kidneys, lungs, eyes, liver&nbsp;and even the skin.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.&nbsp;If you dig a little or a lot, once you do&nbsp;donate, they&rsquo;ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
