اَلسَّلاَ مُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَا تُهُ
Jazak'Allah for taking the time out to visit our fundraising page.
We are a group of brothers from Edinburgh and Manchester, United Kingdom, who Allah (swt) has granted the resources to embark on the spiritual journey of Arbaeen this year, so we thought why not raise some money for people much less fortunate than us?
Charity is heavily encouraged in Islam, and charity was one of the greatest qualities of Imam Hussain (as). He was the refuge to the poor and destitute, provided clothes to the needy, fed the hungry, forgave his debtors and helped the weak and less fortunate. Imam Hussain (as) sacrificed his family, including his 6 month old son, his life and the lives of his seventy-two companions for the sake of mankind.
We wish to also help the less fortunate in his name, and we hope that people will support us in our efforts by donating to aid the suffering and destitute, who have become a forsaken people, and they require all the help they can get. We believe Allah (swt) put sustenance into our hands in order that we may show compassion to others.
Yemen is entering its fourth year of war, and with signs of a resolution to this war and hope fading, they need all the help they can get. Within just one month, more than 1.8 million people had been forced to flee their homes, becoming internally displaced within Yemen. The lives of everyday Yemenis are completely paralysed; the streets are empty; schools and universities are closed.
We would appreciate any donation - no amount is too small - and please share with friends and family and Insh'Allah we can reach the goal!
جزاك اللهُ خيرًا
