I am taking part in a Sponsored Walk in aid of Cancer Research on Sunday June 14th, 2009 and would be chuffed to bits if you would sponsor me.

The Silurain Way is a 10 mile trek though Grizedale Forest in Cumbria.

It is a fantastric walk and I'm expecting it to talk around 6 hours.

We start and finish at the visitor centre in Grizedale Forest and we will walk through old woodland and spruce plantations, climb the crags for amazing views in all directions, hopefully we will take a rest by a fast flowing stream or maybe a tranquil tarn, and we will be hoping to see deer in some of the quieter parts of the forest. It is a stunning walk of great variety.

I will not be doing the walk on the actual day, as I will be busy setting teams off etc, but will be doing it the week before. Also I will not be wearing the pink dressing gown (well maybe)
