Story
Hi all,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Among many of my peers I too, will be participating in the TCS London Marathon in April this year. More importantly, I will be raising money for the amazing Juliet Garmoyle fund, partnering the charity Place2Be. For those who are unaware, the Juliet Garmoyle fund is part of a legacy of a wonderful lady who committed huge amounts of her time, over a 30-year teaching career, supporting children as a therapist in various primary schools.
Having tragically lost a friend to depression just over a year ago, the topic of mental health has captured a far more personal affiliation. Mental health afflictions are a delicate issue that should be treated with the utmost care, and help should be accessible to anyone being affected. The Juliet Fund and Place2Be are championing this, providing in-school mental health service support, counseling, and training in UK schools that are located in challenging catchment areas. Donations would provide access to Place2Be’s support to children in the Southwest of England, particularly those who are from deprived backgrounds, providing them with quality mental health support – something that Juliet passionately believed was a key factor in enabling children to achieve their full potential.
If you have got this far, thank you again for taking the time to read this. Any donation, however big or small, can hugely impact the lives of these children in both the short term and their future, and further support the amazing legacy of Juliet.
