Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This August the 10th, I am taking part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100. This goes from the Olympic park in London out into the Surrey hills and then back into London finishing on the Mall. It is 100 miles long and has 1,600 metres of climbing with 30,000 participants.
I am doing this on behalf of the Charity Help the Hospices. This is a UK charity that helps raise money on behalf of 200 hospices. The hospices require £1m per day to keep them going and the vast majority of this has to come from charitable donations.
The benefit that Hospices give to families and individuals in end of life care cannot be under estimated. Support at this stage of peoples lives, both young and old, can mean that the last time families spend together can be extremely special allowing individuals to die in a loving and supported environment. I have seen the work, care and love these organisation give at the most difficult of times and truely believe that every pound we raise will make a difference. I am aiming to raise over £2,000 so please give generously. Ed
