Story
I have completed two marathons in the past with differing levels of preparation and running knowledge: in London in 2006 (4h22m) and Manchester 2017 (3h30m).
This year, 2020, is very different. I have completed over 1000 miles since January in training out on the roads, breaking all my PB's from 1km to half marathon. And there is one significant PB to go...
I am doing a marathon in September on a route I have chosen on and off road around the Solihull area in the West Midlands on my own.
An individual time trial marathon.
No closed roads, no drink stops, no supporters.
No one to follow, no one chasing.
I am raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support because whatever cancer throws your way, like it has with someone very close to me, they're right there to support.
Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support.
So please donate as much as you feel comfortable doing.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure.
Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
Thanks for supporting my fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Here's to a new PB. And to all those who work tirelessly to support those in need.
