Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Sam Jerred is 8 years old and found out at the age of 3 that he has Duchenne Muscular Dystrohey (DMD). It is not only Sam who has had to learn to live with this; DMD puts a huge strain on the whole family.

One little thing i have learnt recently. Something that most of us can do and take for granted, in fact, do not even think about not being able to do it. Action Duchenne have recently funded a drug programme for those living with DMD and Sam has been on this medication for a little while now. So what has this enabled Sam to do that DMD prevents him from doing that you and I can do without a thought? Jump! Before this drug, Sam could not Jump. He 'learnt' to jump at the age of 8 when boys his age without DMD have been jumping for 6-7 years. Simple but important for a little boy. So please, give a little if you can. What will the next drug enable Sam and other DMD sufferers to do that they currently can't?

See below pictures of Sam. He is the reason we are running!
