We harness the positive power of nature to help improve people's mental wellbeing

Story

Three months, three disciplines, one mission... I'm competing in the Challenge Barcelona, an Ironman-distance triathlon, on October 4th. That's 3.8km swim, 180km bike, and a marathon (42.2km). Which is a long way. I've never done one before, and I'm going to do it eco.

That means - touch wood (sic) - a wetsuit made of limestone- not petroleum-based rubber; a bike made of bamboo; and running shoes of all recycled fibres and no chemical solvents.  Chuck in a vegetarian diet, and overland travel everywhere (including Barcelona), and you've got your Eco Ironman.

I'm doing it all for the Wilderness Foundation, a small charity which helps engender a respect for the importance of wild places, by helping those who otherwise wouldn't have a chance to experience the power of wilderness.  If that sounds a bit hippy, watch 'Into the Wild'.  Then come back and sponsor me!

Thanks all!
