Story
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Join our team effort to help the most vulnerable children in Ukraine! We are starting the fundraising campaign to support the GoCampEast project - a language camps for schoolkids from the war-affected areas of the Eastern Ukraine. At camps kids will interact and communicate with volunteers from the whole globe, breaking the language barrier, making friends from abroad and discovering other cultures.
GoCamp East is a part of GoCamp - the largest educational programme in Eastern Europe where international volunteers introduce the world to kids, motivating them to learn foreign languages. GoCamp East will involve children who are most affected by the military conflict and the economic downturn from orphanages, centres for internally displaced people, schools in the conflict-affected areas, as well as kids who have had a parent die or get injured in the conflict. It is implemented in partnership with the Ukrainian civic initiative GoGlobal, other charity organizations and similar initiatives.
Last summer GoCamp East invited 40 volunteers, among which were 7 EBRD employees, who arrived in Ukraine and taught 600 schoolchildren from 24 schools located near the line of conflict in the Donbas. This year we want to involve much more schools and kids!
Only for 1000 pounds we can organize a 2-week English learning school camp with more then 100 kids at their home village or town with a foreign volunteer and an educational programme including social, educational and cultural activities.
This fundraising is enhanced by the newly launched Community Initiative the EBRD, that aims to double the amount raised, subject to minimum EUR 3,000 and maximum EUR 50,000 raised and number of reporting requirements fulfilled.
So every donation you make to our project will be doubled and twice more kids will be involved!
Together we make the world better and happier!
