Story
Eton Bridge Partners are taking on the challenge of a 26 mile walk in aid of the world-leading cancer centre, The Royal Marsden. One of our team members (Georgie Swallow) was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is being treated at The Royal Marsden. Thankfully, because of the world-leading treatment The Royal Marsden provides, Georgie is able to receive 1st class care.
On 7th June 2019, we will be starting our walk in Windsor and walking along the Thames path. We have chosen 26 miles as it will be a tough challenge but also as an ode to Georgie and her 26 years of life!
"Being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in your 20s is a difficult thought to process however I couldn't be luckier to work for the most supportive company and to be treated at a world-leading cancer centre. The Royal Marsden has given me the most outstanding care and I am totally blown away by the staff and quality of treatment. From the very beginning, through every scan and test, to the 3 operations and all my chemotherapy treatment I have been seen to fast, taken seriously and felt confident that I am in the best possible hands out there. I couldn't be more thankful. Thanks to The Royal Marsden being a leader in groundbreaking research and drug trials, I am able to receive a 'drug of the future' that has less long-term effects and a higher success rate."
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. They ensure their nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, they will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
We appreciate you taking the time to view our fundraising efforts and are very grateful for your kind donations.
