Our 2023 marathon walk will be in memory of the late Leigh Reeder, a long standing club official and friend to many of our members. Leigh was a keen fundraiser and supporter of local charities, and we are proud to be able to dedicate this day to him.

Eastern Blues are the official Chelsea FC supporters’ club for East Anglia. As well as a shared love of Chelsea, Eastern Blues and its members are dedicated to supporting local charities and making a difference in our community. 

For 2019 our members chose to support the mental health charity MIND, with funds raised to be shared by local MIND branches across our catchment areas of Norfolk and Suffolk. Our 2019 efforts were thwarted by the pandemic, but we are now ready to power up in 2023! The focus for our fundraising will be a marathon distance walk in the beautiful Broadland district of Norfolk in the summer.

Details of the walk, which is open to all members and their family and friends, are as follows:

Date: Saturday 1st July 2023

Start/finish point: Freethorpe, Norfolk, NR13 3NZ.

The walk itself will be 26.2 miles in total, with participants completing two loops of a circuit that takes us through some amazing scenery including riverside and country views. As the walk comprises two loops of the same circuit there is an option for walkers to complete a half-marathon distance of 13.1miles.
