Thanks for taking the time to visit East Grinsteads District JustGiving page.
When you donate please mention who you are sponsoring and which scout Group in East Grinstead District they come from. This will allow us to give them their International Challenge Award after the event. Without this information it will be very difficult to award the badges after the event.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
The aim is to transport water (minimum 20 litres )however you choose as a group over a distance of 5 miles. How you transport the water is completely up to you, but the wackier the better.
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders worked together on Sunday May 8th to transport 20 litres of water over 5 miles, getting very wet, having a lot of fun and raising the Scouts awareness of
people less fortunate than themselves. .
Actually collectively as a district we covered in the region of 45 miles carrying water in wellies, buckets, water pistols, plastic bags, Wheel barrows and of course the leader rucksack with the full 20 litres of water onboard.
Over 5 miles was done by James, Stuart and Graham leaders from Buckhurst Cub Pack, and speaking from personal experience of carrying it for 2 miles it was very heavy !
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts Explorers and Leaders if you took part many thanks, please now pledge some money to Wateraid - remembering to put your name & Scout Group against your donation.
In due course we will award you the International Friendship Award for taking part and raising money.
Thank you
