Story
Over the last year there has been much to lament and more recently, much to give thanks for.
We are grateful to God for the vaccine and all those who worked in the research and for those who produced it and enabled it to be delivered so quickly.
By Easter, many of us will have been vaccinated or will have a date to get the vaccination. We have all seen the scenes of people being vaccinated with a sense of joy and renewed hope.
One way of expressing our gratitude To God for all this, is to support practically our brothers and sisters in Rwanda, and more specifically Kigali, our link Diocese.
Something very similar can be read about in 2 Corinthians 8 - when one church, even in its weakness was able to support another church far away.
In Rwanda, churches have been closed, businesses have had to stop, schools have been shut and work is hard to come by. For these reasons, Bishop Nathan has encouraged the congregations to support one another, as well as members of the wider community.
This Easter as a sign of our gratitude for being one of the first countries to receive the vaccine, we have set up this Just Giving page so that our gifts can go directly to support the work of Kigali Diocese as they care for the most vulnerable, poor and economically fragile in the diocese.
Thank you for any gift you are able to spare.
