Asalamu Alaykum

The blessed month of Ramadan is upon us again, Alhamdulilah, So much has changed in this past year and we ask Allah to be with us through all hardships and ease.

I recently returned from an eye opening field trip to Kenya and the borders of Somalia and saw first hand the level of desperation and need that exists today. The hardships they face are ones I never thought I would witness in this day and age. Here is a short video that captures some of the most impactful case studies I witnessed:

Right now there is a disaster taking place in the horn of Africa with more then 30 million people in need. This Ramadan I have made it my intention to raise funds for them, and I need your help to do so.

5.5 million children under the age of 6 years old are acutely malnourished and are on the brink of death.

I met Amani Hussein, a 6 year old little girl. She is severely acutely malnourished, she was weighing in at just 5.1 Kg; the same as an 11 month old child. How many healthy 6 year old's are we surrounded by that will never have to face an inch of the hardship Amani is already facing- reaching out for survival, fighting for her life each and every day.

Islamic Relief is providing assistance in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia for those most in need due to this devastating famine. 

It is a race against time to save lives, your help and support is needed now! 

This Ramadan I would like to support 1500 children with life saving treatment for Malnutrition. This will cost a total of £45,000

We are requesting your Zakat and Sadaqah in order to achieve this large, but life saving sum.  

It costs just £300 to provide 10 children with life saving treatment. 

£90 can provide basic survival needs for 3 children.
