Story
Here at East Surrey we’ve gone the extra mile to help Lily, and now we need your help please.
Lily is a sweet and friendly 7 year-old girl who loves to snuggle up on a lap and adores cuddles. She recently came into our care with a heavy growth of polyps in both ears, which was very distressing for her.
Lily had to undergo an extensive operation to remove all of the hearing canals in her ears. This surgery unfortunately leaves Lily with minimal hearing, but she is now thankfully much more comfortable.
Brave Lily had her operation just over a week ago and is already making a good recovery. She’s now free of pain and discomfort and altogether a calmer and happier cat. She’ll be deaf for life but because she couldn’t hear much before due to the growths this shouldn’t cause her any trouble. Lily isn’t ready for adoption yet, but when the time comes she’ll have special homing needs due to her deafness.
Lily’s treatment so far has cost the branch a lot of money when our reserves are lower than usual. During these tricky times we haven’t been able to fundraise as we normally would, and now our charity shop is closed due to lockdown, so we’re asking if you can help fund her operation, treatment and care. Any donation, big or small, will really help us and sweet little Lily.
Any funds raised above and beyond those needed to help Lily will be used to help other cats in the branch’s care.
A big thank you from all of us at East Surrey Branch - we couldn’t care for so many cats without your generous support.
