Description

We will be holding a charity bake sale in aid of Women for Afghan Women, a registered charity providing safe shelter and resources for women and families in Afghanistan. WAW has been operating for over 20 years and is now the largest women’s organisation in Afghanistan. In the face of the current crisis they are appealing for donations and support to help safeguard the thousands of women, children, families and staff under their care. We welcome all donations of baked goods! Bring your favourite cakes and goodies, or bake us something special from your country. Let’s celebrate the diversity of our community while raising money for a good cause. Check the guidelines for bakers in the Google Docs link below and add your name to the table if you would like to contribute.

All proceeds from the bake sale will be collected and donated online on this page following the event.

COVID-19 precautions

The bake sale will be held outside to limit the potential spread of the virus. All volunteers manning the stand will be fully vaccinated. Hand sanitiser will be available and handling of the food will be limited. Please do not attend if you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.

Food hygiene and safety

All allergens will be clearly labelled. Different tongs will be used for items containing nuts, which will be stored separately to other items. We will be following the Madison Dane County Public Health guidelines for bake sales:
