My Name is Eabha Doyle, and for my 15th birthday I have decided to cut off 15 inches of my hair and donate it to The Rapunzel Foundation. The Rapunzel Foundation collect hair from people willing to donate it and makes wigs for children and adults who need them. As well as donating my hair, I am raising money for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. The Jack & Jill Foundation provides a unique model of child and family centred care that gives the parent carer a break from the intensive home care regime required for a child who needs around the clock care. I chose this charity because of a young boy named Cathal Dunbar, and his mam and dad, who I often see at the local GAA club (Ferns St Aidans). Cathals mam Dawn explained to me the support they get from the foundation and how much they benefit from them. (Any money I receive for my birthday will also be donated the the charity)
