Story
e2e Head Office have selected the Great North Air Ambulance as its chosen charity to fundraise for in 2021, to kick start this years events we will be taking part in the Race to the Base in support of our local air ambulance service.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service provides world-class, critical care across the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care team delivers life-saving treatments at the scene of an incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to over 1,200 emergency call-outs last year*, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death. *2020
A group of us from e2e Head Office, along with our friend Annie from Peak Marketing have decided to complete the 'Race to the Base' challenge where we will be walking, running and cycling 130 miles (the distance is takes from the RVI Hospital in Newcastle to both airbases and back again) throughout the month of March.
Some of us have decided to take on the 130 miles on our own and some have decided to group together to work as a team to complete the miles. All together we will be covering a total distance of 1040 miles!
We hope you will join us in raising money for this fantastic charity :)
